Shadbush : Overview

Shadbush Full View

Shadbush. Hough, Michael. 2010.

Each year, naturalists and wildflower enthusiasts eagerly wait for the blooming of the shadbush, because it represents spring’s arrival. When the snowy-white flowers bloom with such profusion, when the petals cover its branches, the shadbush becomes the unique beauty in the spring. This tree profile mainly covers two perspectives of the shadbush, natural and cultural history. With the natural history, I will focus on the habitat, range, size, and relationship with animals. In the section of cultural history, I will discuss how people use the fruit from shadbush and how shadbush affects human activities.
