Furnishings and equipment; Containers for personal use
Description
On one of his many visits around the globe, explorer, artist and early anthropologist Henry Savage Landor collected this jewel-inlaid flask. Showing little wear, this bronze flask with gold, turquoise and jade decorations was probably owned by a member of the elite and rarely used. This flask was most likely a perfume bottle showing telling rust around only the opening.
