My dear Mrs. Keyes:
I have just returned to Chicago from a short vacation and find your note forwarded from Byron, where "Queen Anne's Lace" awaits my arrival. I know that I shall enjoy reading it again. It is great fun to feel that I have in some small way participated in the bringing out of your first novel.
I hope your husband's campaign is proceeding satisfactorily. We here in Illinois, as usual, are in a mess.
Affectionately yours,
Ruth McCormick
