Description

My dear Cousin Ednah:

I am more sorry than I can tell you to be obliged to returned to you the second time Aunt Nancy's letters without having done anything definite with them. During a sever attack of the grip which kept me house for some time this winter I went over them carefully and even mapped out an article based on them, but I was not well enough to write and, of course, the minute I did recover my work of current events swept me up again. Now I am on the point of sailing on a trip around the world which will necessitate a prolonged absence from this country and as I am sure you would wish to have the letters in your own safe keeping during this period I am sending them to you under separate cover, registered, by the same mail.

Please allow me to thank you for the co-operation you have shown in my desire to write an article about Aunt Nancy and I still hope that eventually it may be possible for me to do so for it is a subject in which I feel the greatest interest.

With all good wishes,
Faithfully your cousin,

Miss Ednah B. Hale,
109 Bowen Street,
Providence, R.I.
