Wooden Chow Bowl with Loop Handle
Dublin Core
Title
Wooden Chow Bowl with Loop Handle
Description
This round bowl was hand-carved, probably from a single piece of wood as there is no evidence that the handle was attached separately. The top of the rim has ridges and the outside wall angles to a slightly smaller bottom. A short base is carved into the bottom of the bowl. The wooden loop handle protrudes about halfway between the rim and the base. The inside of the loop is carved more sharply, with the corners coming almost to a right angle. The outside is more rounded, probably for comfort and ease of holding it.
