Title

Limestone Offering Slab

Description

The offering slab is a stone square shaped slab with an indentation running around the outer rim. The top side of the square has a smaller square that juts out, and the indentation around the perimeter leads into the smaller square. The result is an essential spout to collect the liquids that would be offered on the slab. Inside the indentation markings are two raised objects that are known as hes vases, or traditional Egyptian libation vessels. The object is chipped and worn and has yellow discolored patches on the surface, which could be remnants of paint. Height: 16.4 Centimeters, Width: 15.6 Centimeters, Thickness: 4.8 Centimeters
